Nakanuma Trailhead
Directions to the trailhead (From Iwate)
Turn onto the Shitomae Forest Road from National Route 397 and continue straight ahead. After about 20 minutes, you will arrive at your destination.

*The Shitomae Forest Road is passable for vehicles up to 1.8 meters wide, but larger vehicles (such as minibuses) cannot pass.
*Due to the unpaved forest road, we recommend four-wheel drive vehicles or vehicles with high ground clearance.
Tsubunuma Trailhead
Directions to the trailhead (From Iwate)
The trailhead is located near Tsubunuma Campground, Take Route 397 toward Akita. After passing Yakeishi Kur park Himekayu, drive for about 20 minutes to reach Tsubunuma Campground.

Higashinaruse 3rd station Trailhead
Directions to the trailhead (From Akita)
Take National Route 397 toward Iwate. After passing the "Junes Kurikoma Park Golf Course," drive for about 15 minutes. The trailhead entrance is on the right side at this point. From there, proceed along the Yakeishi Forest Road to reach the trailhead parking lot.
